Organized in 1974, the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) is a trade association representing more than 2,000 Texas community banks and branches. Members enjoy a wide variety of membership services directed by some 150 volunteer leaders and an experienced, dedicated, and responsive staff with a combined experience of over 100 years of service to the banking industry. The IBAT Annual Convention offers valuable educational sessions and networking opportunities. The “resort casual” atmosphere provides an ideal venue for bankers and suppliers to visit “outside the booth,” and brings together senior management and directors from different institutions throughout the state.
