Ellen has a diverse commercial litigation practice that focuses on representing securities brokerage firms and construction firms in court and in arbitrations.

Ellen’s securities experience includes representing broker-dealers and their representatives in customer litigation in FINRA arbitrations and defending enforcement matters brought by the SEC and self-regulatory organizations.  She was the lead trial counsel in a New York Stock Exchange arbitration that resulted in the dismissal of all claims against her client.  Ellen also represents financial institutions in securities fraud class actions.

Ellen’s construction industry experience involves resolving complex construction and commercial disputes, and she has represented contractors in a variety of claims including claims for delay, loss of productivity, incomplete/defective work and fraud. In a recent matter, Ellen obtained a favorable ruling on summary judgment for approximately $8 million, which resulted in a favorable settlement for her client. 

Ellen is member of the Executive Board of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Foundation and also serves on the Board of Directors of Travelers Aid of Atlanta.

Prior to joining the firm, Ellen was associated with a New York City law firm, where she focused primarily on general commercial and securities litigation, as well as on the defense of white collar criminal and regulatory enforcement matters.

Ellen is a member of the American and Atlanta Bar Associations and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
