Sutherland here provides update files for the TAXINT computer program to compute interest on Federal tax underpayments and overpayments. To utilize such update files, it is necessary that you have previously obtained from Sutherland Version 1.0 of the TAXINT-2000 program. When downloaded and installed as described below and in the written instructions provided for the TAXINT program, the update files will keep the program current as new interest rates are announced quarterly by the Internal Revenue Service. Click on the file name to download one or more of the files described below.
The TAXINT update files are compressed and password protected. To access such files once you have downloaded them, it is necessary that you have received the password from your contact at SAB. The files with a "zip" extension have been compressed with a program called pkzip, and you must "unzip" (i.e., uncompress) the compressed file. We suggest you use WINZIP, which will prompt you for the password prior to uncompressing. You may also use PKUNZIP, adding -s*.* at the DOS prompt (*.* being the password). After the update files have been uncompressed, the eight update files should be copied to your directory where the TAXINT program resides.
Additional materials relating to such interest computations are available for viewing or downloading as described below. Some of such material, as indicated below, is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, and, with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, such material may be viewed on screen or downloaded and printed. For information on how to download the free reader, visit the Adobe website and follow the instructions provided.
The materials available for viewing or downloading are as follows:
